Dance Classes

At the Marion Dondi Burke School of Dance we provide quality dancing instruction that is fun and interesting, while creating self-confidence and high self-esteem. There is a personal family atmosphere that compliments our teaching. We work with students from age 2 to adult. Students are placed in classes based upon both their age and ability/experience level. 
Preschool Program (Ages 2-4 years) 
  • 45 minute ballet and tap combination class of age appropriate dance
  • Singing incorporated with dance and pantomime
  • Wind down with basic tumbling
  • Potty training not necessary 
Beginner (Level 1, Ages 5-7) 
  • 45 minute ballet and tap combination class
  • Jazz offered as a 3rd segment
  • Many steps are introduced as an excellent beginning 
Advanced Beginner I (Level 2, Ages 6-10 years) 

  • 3 segments of ballet, tap and jazz. take 1, 2, or all 3
  • Builds upon previous skills, ballet and jazz barre are introduced
  • Price varies with how many you take, with a discount for all 3 

Advanced Beginner II (Level 3, Ages 7-11 years) 

  • 3 segments of ballet, tap and jazz. Take 1, 2, or all 3
  • Skill set and technique grow from previous level
  • Tap barre is introduced, ballet and jazz barre progress 

Intermediate I & II (Levels 4 & 5, Ages 8-13) 
  • 3 segments of ballet, tap, and jazz, 1, 2, or all 3
  • Expansion of the repertoire from previous levels
  • Technique is more defined
  • Eligible to participate in FREE TECHNIQUE CLASS 

Acro-Gymnastics 
  • Beginner, advanced beginner, intermediate and advanced levels offered
  • Uses strength/agility to perform both classic gymnastic moves and unique new movement
  • Class placement based on both age and ability 

Advanced Classes 
  • Students developing beyond intermediate levels are grouped by age, skill set and technical ability
  • Pointe Classes
  • Older elementary age through high school
Adult Classes available in all disciplines and levels

Dance Classes
